The Dallas office of SmithGroupJJR, is looking for a part-time (30 hours/week) Human Resources Representative to join our team. We are seeking an energetic, self-starter with excellent people skills to support the Human Resources function in our Dallas office. The Human Resources Representative will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries for employees. The Human Resources Representative must work with a high level of confidentiality, have excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of staff.
Working with us, you will:
Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all Dallas, TX employees.
Assist in the implementation of personnel policies, procedures and specific HR related programs as needed.
Lead the onboarding process of new employees including: coordinate orientation schedule, E-Verify, state new hire reporting, coordination of new hire training, and entering new hire paperwork into HRIS database.
Ensure data integrity in HRIS (Ultipro) system.
Regular maintenance of HRIS system: entering new employee information, updating employee information, benefits/payroll updates.
Complete requests for employment verifications.
Perform benefits and payroll administration to include enrollment of new benefits, claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating information to employees and candidates.
Support all activities for the recruiting cycle, specifically sourcing and following up with potential candidates, interview scheduling, phone interviews, response letters, and applicant tracking.
Provides customer service for employees on benefits, payroll, and company policies.
Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Provide consultation on sensitive employee relations and human resources issues, such as those involving work performance and/or discipline issues.
Provide advice and guidance to management regarding employee relations issues.
An ideal candidate has:
3 to 5 years HR related experience
4 year degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
Strong ability to pay attention to detail and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Sensitivity towards confidential information is a must.
Must also have the ability to set priorities, multitask and work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy is required as well as experience with data entry, HRIS system maintenance and file management in a professional setting.
Experience with Ultipro is preferred.
Strong service orientation, and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, office and firm management, and outside business partners.
