We are currently hiring a vibrant and knowledgeable Sr. HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team at OSG USA.
This is a full-time position with excellent health benefits, matching 401k, potential for bonus, casual dress and so much more! This position is located in Irving, TX with up to 15% overnight travel required (especially during open enrollment).
Our Ideal Candidate
The Sr. HR Generalist will work closely with managers, supervisors and employees and be responsible for multiple human resource functions including but definitely not limited to: benefits and compensation administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this position. You need to be comfortable dealing with senior managers and staff at all levels of the organization. You need to be able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
At OSG USA, the Sr. HR Generalist:
Administers all employee health and compensation programs
Evaluates and compares existing company benefits, develops specific recommendations for review by management to maintain effective benefits package for all company locations
Pays monthly benefit invoices in a timely manner
Setup benefit plans in payroll, reviews benefits data (deferral changes, new hire benefit elections, 401k loan status, etc) on weekly payroll
Coordinate leaves of absences (FMLA, STD, LTD) and process claims and requests
Conducts new hire benefits orientation and open enrollment meetings
Conducts Workers Compensation and General Liability Audit
Administers employee, management and sales bonus programs – prepares bonus calculations, communication, and reporting. Provides recommendations to management related to bonus
Conduct salary surveys and job analysis to determine competitive wage rates and makes recommendations regarding pay grade changes
Performs full-cycle recruiting which includes job postings, sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, and communicating employment offers
Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding
Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
Consults with supervisors and managers on a regular basis and provides guidance and support to assist with their people-related needs and challenges
Manages and resolves employee relations issues
Characteristics and Qualifications
The top traits and skills for this position are outstanding communication and problem solving abilities, strong resourcefulness and application of job knowledge, and notable experience in analysis using Microsoft Excel.
Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years’ experience in human resources particularly benefits administration and full cycle recruiting
A Master’s Degree in HR Management and three (3) years’ experience in the above
Any relevant professional certification such as CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP, PHR is highly preferred
Experience in data analysis and reporting
UltiPro experience is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Knowledgeable of labor laws and regulations at both the state and federal level
Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Flexible and able to successfully handle change
Maintain high integrity and confidentiality
Desire to continuously improve process and programs and question the status quo
