The Town of Prosper (population 22,660) seeks an experienced, energetic Human Resources Professional to lead its multi-faceted Human Resources Department for an organization of approximately 200 employees. Qualified applicants will demonstrate experience and working knowledge of performance, benefits, budget, compensation, and risk management, as well as proven ability to successfully interact with individuals of varying socioeconomic, educational, and cultural backgrounds. The HR Director also serves as the organization’s ADA Coordinator and may work with several internal committees. Successful candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills, with a willingness and ability to adapt as changing circumstances dictate. This position requires a hands-on professional with the ability to think strategically and react quickly; delegate, as well as perform, varying levels of tasks; promote a team-oriented environment with a focus on the organization’s primary goals for maintaining a high-touch environment in the midst of furthering technological processes to encourage efficiency and optimum outcomes for an increasingly expansive work force.
Qualified applicants will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and PHR, SPHR, or a related professional certification is preferred; at least five (5) years of progressive work experience in HR (municipal experience preferred); and demonstrated knowledge of employment law, policy management, and skills important to successful outcomes for people/process management.
