Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resource, Training and Payroll functions of the Legacy Senior Communities and all Legacy companies.
Essential duties and responsibilities

Annually reviews and makes recommendations to the Executive leadership on HR policies, procedures and practices; maintains Legacy handbooks and HR Policy and Procedure manual. Ensures compliance by leadership and staff with all policies.
Responsible for monitoring compliance with all federal and state legislation pertaining to HR matters.
Assists Legacy leadership with annual review, preparation and administration of compensation programs, such as bonus and commission plans.
Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind voluntary separations; participates in all TWC unemployment hearings.
Consults with legal counsel as appropriate or as directed by the President or CFO.
Works directly with leadership to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on HR situations; provides support in hiring and interviewing for leadership positions.
Recommends, evaluates, creates and conducts training and development for leadership and staff.
Recommends and maintains a human resource/payroll system that meets the HR information needs.
Creates, presents and monitors HR budget for all companies.
Works with the Board of Trustees insurance committee, Executive leadership and broker to evaluate and recommend all benefit insurance and on the job injury programs; works with benefit carriers on contracts, billing, system set-up and issues.
Develops and evaluates recognition and retention programs for all companies. Works with executive leadership to identify at risk positions and workforce planning.
Provide support to CFO and President for special reporting and auditing needs. Monitors and tracks QA HR initiatives.
Participates on committees, special projects and seeks additional responsibilities to improve Human Resources for the Legacy.
Supervise all members of the Human Resources team including coordinating and approving time off, training and motivating, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, and directing and managing the workflow for the Human Resources, Payroll and Training functions.
Provide input to the Legacy leadership staff on HR metrics related to leadership performance.

Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years in a Human Resources Generalist capacity with at least 4 years in a Management or Director role.
2 or more years of experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR).
Previous experience managing a staff of two or more people.
Experience implementing and utilizing an HR/Benefit Information System.
