Job Purpose: Manage all activities related to staff and administrator training and professional development programs. Provide oversight for all activities related to training for compliance with state and federal laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess, develop, coordinate, and implement appropriate district-wide professional development and training programs for staff and administrators.
Research resources to meet identified employee, department, and division development and training needs. When necessary conduct analysis to determine client needs and recommend appropriate training and non-training solutions.
Lead the instructional design process for all training programs, including training creation through various media.
Develop systems to measure and evaluate effectiveness for all professional development and training programs.
Drive on-line learning methodology and work with vendors to ensure institution needs are met.
Act as the primary facilitator of employee training sessions to include small and large group facilitation, as needed according to district needs.
Support employee engagement through various initiatives.
May provide assistance with management of the annual performance evaluation processes, to include applicable training and process reporting.
Assist in developing annual budget for professional development.
Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with College policies, procedures, and core values.
Supervise, train and evaluate assigned HR professional and paraprofessional staff.

Bachelor's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution required and five (5) years of directly related experience. Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Three (3) years of face-to-face training experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience required. Experience in Texas higher education preferred.
Three (3) years of experience developing online training materials, instructional design training or certification preferred.
Professional Human Resources or Senior Professional Human Resources certification preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
