Peloton Commercial Real Estate, a full service commercial real estate company, is seeking a HR Generalist with responsibility for processing payroll. This position will provide HR Generalist support to meet the needs of employees and management in a Texas multi-site operation. This position will administer semi-monthly payroll processes and provide full cycle benefits administration.
Develop effective relationships with Peloton team members: assisting employees with day to day payroll and human resource questions.
Provide full cycle employment administration from offer to employment end.
Provide full cycle benefits administration including enrollment, terminations and changes.
Maintain the Payroll/HRIS system.
Prepare and maintain employee electronic files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Understand, develop and improve all HRIS/payroll processes.
Provide interpretation of finance and payroll policies and procedures on local, federal, and state wage and hour regulations when reviewing timecards, paychecks, and responding to questions.
Update payroll records by reviewing changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions and job title and department/division transfers, as well as billing allocation information.
Process accurate and timely payrolls by ensuring accurate HRIS and auditing/reviewing time records submitted by supervisors.
Prepare, maintain, and provide reports to finance and management periodically.
Coordinate leaves of absence including expertise with FMLA, Short Term Disability and Workers Comp.
Process unemployment claims and employment verifications.
Administer all HR/payroll related audits, including 401(k) and SOC.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Proficient knowledge of principles and practices of payroll processing, personnel administration, effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field and/or professional certifications such as PHR or CPP preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience with payroll processing and coordinating and administering health and welfare benefits.
Experience with ExponentHR is a plus.
