Weitzman is currently recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join the HR team in our Dallas office located in the Uptown area. Our HR team handles all human resources responsibilities for its 250 employees and Associates located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio.
Responsibilities of this position include -
Benefits - Administer employee benefit plans and serve as primary contact for employee questions and inquires related to: medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, group and voluntary life insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) plan. Track changes and process monthly insurance invoices. Escalate questions/issues to benefits broker/adviser, insurance provider or HR Director when necessary.
Annual Open Enrollment - Handle the implementation and roll out of benefits for new plan year, including updating benefit plans in ADP's HRB module, preparing and distributing employee communication, scheduling and attending open enrollment meetings, assisting employees with the open enrollment process.
Recruiting - Assist HR Director with recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt positions. Consult with hiring managers to gain insight into position requirements. Prepare and place ads on company website, Intranet, external online job boards and other sources. Review resumes, phone screen, coordinate interviews, process background check and pre-employment texting. Prepare and extend offer letters. Assist in on-boarding and conduct new hire orientations.
Wellness Program - Oversee activities related to the Company's Wellness Program. Respond to questions/inquiries regarding program requirements and distribute information about upcoming activities and events. Work closely with wellness vendor and benefits adviser to ensure regulatory and program compliance.
Other - Handle duties related to employment verification requests, job descriptions, recognition of milestone anniversaries and other duties and projects as assigned.
Assist HR Director and serve as backup for duties related to leave requests, workers compensation, training initiatives and leadership development, internal and outside audits, annual compliance testing, and more. Also serve as back-up to Payroll & Benefits Coordinator with duties related to payroll processing.
