Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, HR Generalist
The Corporate HR Generalist is responsible for providing human resources support to the Nefab Americas region. The primary area of support will include benefits administration, employment, compliance, safety/workers’ compensation, leave administration, and training/development.
Execute the day-to-day responsibilities of the HR function, including salary and new hire administration, reporting and tracking. Drive continuous improvement in all processes and systems.
Performs benefits administration, including monitoring employee eligibility for benefits plans; reviewing benefits with employees and processing enrollment; cancellation or changes; organizing and managing annual open enrollment communications and election process; verifying benefit billing accuracy and processing for payment.
Ensures all pre-employment and post-offer protocols are completed in the hiring process; including E-Verify, reference checking, background checks and other essential protocols.
Manages all FMLA and LOA requests, administration and tracking ensuring compliance with applicable federal and local laws.
Create and implement strategies that help reduce turnover, develop current employees and make Nefab an employer of choice.
Leads and manages all workers’ compensation claims. Tracks and maintains workplace safety metrics, and makes recommendations to management on areas needing attention or improvement.
Tracks headcount (hires, separations, LOA, etc.) and provides daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly reports as requested.
Maintains HRIS database and compiles reports from database as needed. Ensures accuracy and integrity of information.
Sources candidates, screens resume, arranges interview team schedules, ensures compliance to all company policy and procedure related to hiring.
In the absence of the Human Resources Manager be able to assist and advise leadership in the areas of documentation, disciplinary action, and policy administration.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
Previous HR experience in a multi-state, multi-site environment.
Prior HR experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
Fluent in English, both written and verbal, Bilingual in Spanish a plus

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
Familiar and knowledgeable with legal and legislative requirements of Human Resources.
Ability to understand and interpret legal statutes, legislation and requirements as they pertain to employee relations and human resources issues
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
Demonstrated personal presentation, oral & written skills
Handle a dynamic work environment with competing priorities.
Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.

Ability to travel 20% depending on company needs
