The Employee Engagement Manager manages the overall support of human resources services, policies and programs for this small non-profit organization and its employees, which includes management of the Employee Engagement staff. Major areas of responsibility include: recruitment, on-boarding and talent management; performance management; compliance; policy & procedure development; employee relations; training and employee development; compensation and benefits; and employee engagement. The Employee Engagement Manager partners with the leaders and management of the company to implement all people-related services, policies, and programs for the organization.
The successful candidate will possess the following Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building skills, with the ability to coach and counsel both managers and employees, while maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable HR resource and business partner to the Executive Director and management team.
Knowledge of employment laws and practices on a local, state and national level.
Excellent organizational management skills with detail orientation.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Management preferred
Experience: 5 to 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience; prior work experience in a non-profit or religious organization very desirable.
Specific Skills: Must be proficient with PC, MS Office software, other regular office equipment and online tools.
Certification: HR Certification preferred (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM- SCP).
