The Human Resources Generalist will be based in Frisco, TX office. The HR Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, input on policy implementation, recruitment/employment, input on employment law compliance. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the company.
Primary Job Functions:
Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and descriptions for all positions in an accurate and timely manner
Reviews and improves the recruiting and interviewing program; and writes and places job postings.
Assists with recruitment tasks as needed
Participate in the preparation of employment offers of the selected candidates
Initiate and manage background checks
Reviews and improves comprehensive on-boarding and off-boarding processes
Process all new hire and transfer paperwork
Along with the legal team, actively involved in (i) investigating and resolving employee grievances and (ii) providing advice regarding employee coaching, discipline, and counseling
Maintains employee files in an efficient and effective manner in compliance with federal and state requirements
Provides advice and works with legal team to update the employee handbook and related policies annually
Promotes the culture of the organization and establishes programs to support and further employee engagement
Researches compensation, benefits and general human resources trends, and makes recommendations to management based on findings
Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and salary increase and ensures they are done in a timely manner; revises as necessary.
Provides advice and assists with the maintenance of the organization’s processes to establish and measure performance goals
Maintains employee personnel files and information systems
Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
Conducts exit interviews and ensure final paycheck distribution is submitted accurately and timely
Process all termination paperwork and notification
Maintains company organization charts
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Consistent and regular attendance
Local travel to various offices in the Plano/Frisco area
Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or a related field
Minimum 5+ years of directly related experience in most phases of human resources
Possess a broad knowledge in the human resource field
HR professional certification credential preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals at varying levels within the organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a context of ongoing transition
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must have outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Ability to handle confidential information
