The Senior Instructional Designer supports corporate talent management programs across all levels and departments of the organization by responding to gaps in leadership, performance, and team effectiveness, by designing, developing, delivering, reinforcing, and measuring blended learning solutions in order to increase team member and leader goal achievement, engagement, retention and customer satisfaction.
Design, develop, and facilitate creative, learner-centered, performance-based training programs, modules, and materials in multiple modalities including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning modules, videos, job aids, and facilitator guides.
Create graphics, visual aids, and marketing materials to support the development of content for AMN team members and leaders.
Facilitate management, leadership, and professional skills workshops targeted at all levels within the organization.
Perform needs analysis and consult with HR and business leaders to identify gaps, align programs to AMNs company goals, and develop team members and leaders aimed at improving performance, driving leadership, and employee engagement and retention.
Develop partnership with internal stakeholders and training team members.
Partner with Learning Team to develop templates, maximize utilization of tools and learning technologies in deploying eLearning content, testing, learning content management, training effectiveness evaluation, coaching and performance support, and LMS administration.
Coach and mentor L&TD team members in effective learning and development tools, strategies, and techniques.
Develop course evaluation metrics that assess business impact and regularly report on findings.
Actively seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning.
Manage end-to-end projects, ensuring all aspects are running smoothly and according to plan. Ensure that the work of the team and individuals is continually aligned to meet internal customer’s needs.
Regularly update and improve the L&TD marketing websites to showcase learning programs, tools, and resources.
Serves as the project manager and subject matter expert for all Human Resources team member surveys. This includes taking lead on a significant amount of administrative tasks before, during and after the survey launches. Serves as primary point of contact for our third party survey vendor.
Analyze survey data, provide counsel to senior leaders, and develop learning strategies and programs that will address the most impactful gaps with engagement and retention.
Lead key learning projects and initiatives, report status, and implement solutions as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in HR, Communication, Leadership, Organizational Development or related field
Master’s Degree in HR, Communication, Leadership, Organizational Development or related field
Executive coaching certificate
Strengths Finders coach certificate
Talent Management certificate
CPLP or SHRM – CP / SCP highly desirable
Organizational Change Management certificate
8+ years’ experience designing and developing content for management, leadership, and/or professional skills topics
Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials in all modalities, including ILT, VILT, e-learning, video, facilitator guides, and job aids
Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops in a corporate learning environment.
Knowledge of adult learning theory
Demonstrated proficiency in assessing training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives from scope to evaluation Experience collaborating with stakeholders, SMEs, front-line managers and front-line employees
Demonstrated working knowledge of eLearning development tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and a LMS to host content.
Demonstrated experience designing visual aids for training or marketing materials.
Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications
4+ years’ experience facilitating training programs.
Demonstrated ability to lead without authority
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong self-directed project management and collaboration skills
Working knowledge of metrics and analytics for learning effectiveness
High level of comfort with ambiguity; manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Direct experience designing, developing, and facilitating management and leadership content.
2+ years’ experience in graphic design
2 – 3 years of project management or project leadership experience
