Currently, we are seeking a payroll, accounting, and systems expert to join our HR team in our new beautiful corporate office near downtown Dallas at The Epic. The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the entire payroll function for our company including processing biweekly payroll for approximately 1000 employees in 13 states at over 180 properties nationwide. The Payroll Manager is responsible for all payroll accounting including general ledger interface, journal entries, and bank reconciliations as well as the administration of our HRIS system and heavy report creation and processing. The Payroll Manager is also responsible for upgrading and converting systems, working with external auditors, completing special projects and supervising two hourly/non-exempt employees.
Minimum 10 years’ experience handling at least 1000 employees on a multi-state payroll OR minimum 5 years’ experience handling at least 1000 employees on a multi-state payroll experience AND bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Minimum 2 years experience and proficiency in general ledger accounting including journal entries, general ledger mapping, account analysis and research, and bank reconciliations.
ADP Workforce Now experience including Time and Attendance.
In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing.
Full knowledge of current federal, state and local labor laws, tax requirements and payroll regulations
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, V-Lookup, statistical data and graphs.
Previous supervisory experience.
Previous experience handling payroll system conversions.
