Contran Corporation is seeking an energetic, passionate and experience Benefits and Payroll Manager to join our team! The Benefits and Payroll Manager is primarily responsible for the health and welfare benefits plans for Contran Corporation and its subsidiaries. In addition to oversight of these plans, the Benefits Manager will participate in international plan administration with our third-party providers and international HR/benefit site managers.
Administer all employee health and welfare benefits, including medical, pharmacy, dental and vision plans, as well as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, health savings account, flexible spending accounts and COBRA.
Advocate to resolve all benefit-related questions and issues and offer high-level assistance to human resources staff and senior management.
Maintain and analyze statistical data related to premiums, claims and overall plan costs and make recommendations to Contran Executive Team on plan strategies and benefit changes to maintain competitive and cost-effective plans.
Maintain Contran’s Master Plan Document, including compliance and eligibility updates, plan amendments and distribution to employees.
Administer annual open enrollment process. Present benefit and plan changes distribute enrollment forms and legal notices to employees and process enrollment changes with the carriers and ADP.
Collect and verify data and work with third party vendor for annual employee benefit statements.
Monitor and administer absence tracking due to medical reasons, including FMLA and short-term disability.
File short-term disability, long-term disability, life and accident claims with insurance carriers.
Coordinate data collection from all subsidiaries for annual insurance renewal. Conduct a full analysis on stop loss renewal premiums, deductible options and current claims and activity and make recommendations to Executive Team for each subsidiary.
Approve monthly carrier billings and manage census data for Contran and subsidiary companies. Work with Accounting on banking, funding, account reconciliations and reporting.
Coordinate data collection and submit mandated government filings for Contran and subsidiary companies, including H&W Plan 5500, Form 1094/1095-C, Transitional Reinsurance Fees, and EEO Filings.
Work with benefits broker to manage RFP process and design and implement new benefit plans, as needed.
Manage employee relocations for Contran and Kronos (US), Inc.
Input payroll changes for review by the Human Resources Manager including benefit enrollments, deductions, tax changes, and other required entries each pay cycle.
Preparation and submission of annual compensation data for US salary survey participation with Willis Towers Watson.
Work with internal claims management contact on any Worker’s Compensation Audits and reviewing of data/policy on an annual basis.
Collaborate with global HR colleagues regarding company benefit policies and processes to seek opportunities for efficiencies on global benefits programs.
Assist with general HR matters such as employee relations, company events and other HR initiatives.
Assist in recruiting efforts for Contran Corporation and its subsidiaries.
Assist in new employee onboarding and follow up to ensure a positive and service-oriented experience from day one in our organization.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 8-10 years of benefits administration experience.
SHRM or HRCI certification, a plus.
Degree in human resources, business, or related field.
Strong research and writing skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong ability to problem solve and determine viable solutions.
