The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of the HCM related to benefit plans, including paid time off programs, and all vendor file maintenance and review. The Benefits Specialist for vendors will also ensure all compliance related audits and filings are completed. This work is done in such a way to support critical business operations between the company, internal departments and vendors to meet and exceed the company’s objectives by performing the following duties.
• Lead configuration, testing and modification of benefit plans in HCM. Includes partnership with HRIS and other departments. • Lead and analyze all compliance requirements as well as integrate new compliance requirements related to benefits (i.e. 1095-C’s, non-discrimination testing, and annual 5500’s).
• Partner with vendors to resolve benefit file issues. Research and correct system or record as needed. Provide feedback to team related process update. • Responsible for creation, review and maintenance of all benefit reporting through HCM. This includes providing ad-hoc reporting requirements to support the H&W benefit functions as well as analyzing data to present to management team.
• Respond to inquiries concerning time off policies, procedures, guidelines, rules and regulations. • Lead time off rollover, liability and ongoing analysis related to PTO programs. • Identify, design and provide reporting and analytics on benefit plans including time off programs. • Continuously identify ways to automate and streamline processes. • Document follow and revise process documents and workflow as needed. • Provide support to benefit integrations for mergers and acquisitions. • Maintain accurate records in HCM. • Participate as team member on other Health and Welfare Benefits related projects.
Undergraduate degree preferred. Four years or more experience specific to Benefits. Ability to lift 30 lbs. Preferred CEBS, PHR, and/or SHRM-CP. Experience with Ultimate, Kronos and reporting writing preferred. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
