Compensation and Benefits, HR Generalist, Recruiting and Talent Management
4 Year Degree
To perform professional HR and Payroll related duties and work closely with the HR Manager in supporting all site and remote employees for designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, training, performance management, on-boarding, recruitment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Corporate Initiatives (such as performance & Talent Reviews, etc.)
Assist with performance management process.
Support talent review process (including succession planning).
Administers various HR plans & procedures for all organizational personnel, tailoring them to our laws/regulations and our culture; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies & procedures.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives & systems.
Operational Activity (such as Recruitment, Training, etc.)
Conducts recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt personnel as well as temporary team members (facilitates requisition approvals, place advertisements, pre-screen candidates, participate in new hire orientation with all new hires)
Conducts ad hoc training (facilitate or support – i.e., PDR training, employee relations, policy adherence)
Participates in timely employee handbook revisions.
Handles employee relations and exit interviewing.
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits law and regulations.
Support ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 activities and seek continued improvement of procedures and practices that reduce costs, while maintaining or enhancing customer satisfaction, quality and service.
Tactical, day to day activities
General HR support
Advise Department Managers on all employee relations issues and ensure compliance to Federal, State and local laws, in addition to company policies and site practices.
International activity outside of your place of work
Responsible for Generalist functions for Canada and Mexico
Payroll and HR systems
Audit biweekly payroll
Fund 401(k) after each payroll cycle is processed.
Utilize ADP Workforce Now for reports/metrics.
HR Admin/Benefits admin
Performs benefits administration, including approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
Assists with 401(k) Administration for US operations
Schedule lunch & learns for new programs.
Send out periodic announcements to all staff relating to HR/Payroll functions.
Regularly participate in project work
Supports the CPS Affirmative Action Plan
Facilitate 401(k) educational workshops annually.
Shared responsibility for company’s annual open enrolment for benefits
Coordinate the annual biometric screening & wellness event.
Coordinate the annual flu shot/vaccination clinic.
Region/Country specific activities
Responsible for maintaining the US recognition and service award programs.
To support the behavior of working as a team, sharing best practice and collaborating with colleagues outside of own sphere of business.
To ensure full participation in our performance management process and maintain an up-to-date record of all training and development activities/programs.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources required, Business or Psychology and 5+ years of HR experience.
3-5 years’ work experience in Payroll a plus in addition to HR experience.
Experience with Inova Payroll system preferred (or any other Payroll system)
Relevant experience in a continuous improvement environment (manufacturing preferred)
2+ years of benefits administration experience, including 401k administration and utilizing multiple vendor portals, coordinating open enrollment.
Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience in administering HR systems would be an advantage.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level and be assertive, yet professional in dealing with requests.
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and a sense of confidentiality.
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
Great verbal and written communication skills
