Haag, a leader in forensic engineering and consulting since 1924, is seeking an HR Assistant at our Flower Mound, TX, corporate office. This individual will provide administrative and clerical support to Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and various other departments as needed. Typical Job functions include but are not limited to the handling of confidential personnel documents and the maintenance of electronic files, making travel arrangements for company leaders and potential new hires, coordinating or assisting with special events, ordering flowers and various employee recognition gifts, assisting with benefits and other HR vendor invoice reconciliations, running reports, checking references and licensures, screening and top-grading resumes for hourly positions, scheduling interviews, handling correspondence, ordering business cards and name badges, and ensuring that new hire and termination checklists are completed. This is an hourly/non-exempt, in-person job, but occasional remote work days may be possible after completing 90 days.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced technical proficiency with MS Office is required.
- Proficiency in using an HRIS or an ATS is necessary. Proficiency with Adobe and Salesforce is desired. Experience with Concur is a plus.
- Experience in one of the AEC industries is strongly preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
- The ability to provide the utmost in customer service to internal and external clients.
- You will be able to work under the supervision of a cross-functional team of professionals.
- Some schedule flexibility is desired – there may be weeks where you may be needed to work additional hours.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or any legal restrictions.
- You should have the ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without accommodations, is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand for long periods as needed or reach overhead or below waist level. Some light lifting (up to 25 pounds) may be necessary.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED is required. An associate degree is preferred.
- 2-3 years related administrative experience in a corporate HR environment with some experience supporting the recruiting process.
